Get an R&R Quote
We need to know what is actually on your roof before a number means anything. The assessment is free within Sacramento County, and the quote states the electrical scope and the flashing scope explicitly.
What we need from you
- Roughly how many panels, and whether you own them, lease them, or have a PPA
- Who installed the system and approximately when
- Whether you have microinverters or optimisers, if you know
- The roof covering — composition, tile, metal — and its approximate age
- Whether you have an active leak, or are planning ahead
What the quote states explicitly
- A per-panel R&R rate, and the panel count it is based on
- New mounts, new flashings and new penetration seals on reinstall
- Who performs the electrical disconnection and reconnection, and under what licence
- Permit responsibility and in whose name it is pulled
- How the panels are stored, and the insurance covering them while off the roof
- The roof scope alongside it, with rot allowance rates per sheet and per linear foot
If your array is leased, start with them
We cannot touch a leased or PPA array without the system owner's written authorisation, and their approval process is usually the longest item on the calendar. Contact them first and ask for their R&R process, fee and lead time — then come to us with that in hand.
Common questions
Do you charge for an assessment?
Not within Sacramento County, and you keep the written scope and photographs whether or not you engage us.
Can you quote the roof and the solar R&R together?
Yes, and that is the arrangement we recommend — one contract, correct sequencing, and one party responsible if the roof leaks at a mount afterwards.
